10 steps to complete the Leadership Challenge:
1. Congratulations on accepting the Leadership Challenge!
2. Create a Weebly account at weebly.com and begin developing your portfolio.
3. Start planning on what workshops and service opportunities to attend.You can see the list of workshops and service opportunities by clicking the buttons below or grab a calendar with the monthly schedule of events in Student Life.
4. After you complete a learn or a serve, it is time to write a reflection. In you reflection, describe what you did and how it applys to leadership. For more information about the reflections, click the button below.
5. For the connection requirement, attend the meetings and comment on Blackboard. Talk to Amanda DeRose [email protected] for more information.
6. Write your career connection paragraph about how this program can assist you in your future career. For assistance, talk with the Director of Career Development, Barbara Gregory, at [email protected].
7. After you complete all the learn, serve, connection, career, and other requirements, make sure all the details are on your online portfolio. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you include pictures of yourself at workshops, service activities, and other leadership events. You should also consider adding videos and other forms of media that exemplify your leadership skills.
8. When you have finally completed your portfolio, it is time to present it to Amanda DeRose. Attend the End of Year Celebration in May.
9. After you present your portfolio, you are all done! Congratulations on completing the Leadership Challenge! You can use your portfolio during transfer school interviews, on scholarship applications, career and academic interviews, and as a supplement to your resume. Additionally, now that you completed the leadership challenge, you should consider accepting the Advanced Leadership Challenge!
