1. Why should I accept the challenge?
The program is designed to give students an opportunity to develop their leadership skills on a personal, group, and community level. All participants will take their student involvement with them, which can be used at transfer school interviews, on scholarship applications, career and academic interviews, and as a supplement to their resume. At the end of the year, students who complete the challenge will receive a certificate and be honored at the Student Leadership Banquet in May. Challenge completers will also receive an honor pin and be recognized at commencement for their leadership development.
2. Are there requirements to join?
Nope! Anyone who wants to develop their leadership skills is welcome to join!
3. How long does the program take?
You can either complete the program in one or two semesters.
4. What is the time commitment?
You can complete the leadership challenge on your own time. Just make sure that your portfolio is complete by the end of the spring semester.

Yes! If you go to workshops or events outside of Carroll that apply to leadership or service, you are more than welcome to use it for the Leadership Challenge. Just check with Amanda DeRose first to get it approved.

You are allowed to apply the workshops you did for a class to the leadership challenge.
9. What should I write for my learn and serve reflections?
Each reflection should be at least one paragraph. In the reflection, describe what you did, what you learned, and how the activity applies to leadership. For more specific guidelines on the reflections, click the button below.
